Let’s create a society unbiased about growing older – a society that embraces age differences and acknowledges that aging is simply a part of life’s journey. This December, LeadingAge debuts #WhatIsAgeism, a week-long campaign to build awareness of ageism, and promote our vision, an America Freed from Ageism.

Observe #WhatIsAgeism Awareness Week by sharing information and stories about ageism, learning how to spot and address ageism in your life, and starting conversations with family and friends about how ageism has affected you. This is a two-way conversation; we are all impacted by ageism.

Throughout the week, we’ll be dedicating our social media platforms to this critical issue. We hope you will join us! Here's how:

PROMOTE #WHATISAGEISM ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Whether you’re using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram -- or all of the above -- engage your communities in discussions on ageism and how it affects older adults.

Be sure to follow us on social media at @LeadingAge and use the hashtag #WhatIsAgeism in your posts. Feel free to use our sample posts below and explore our infocards.
