Building a Cloud Environment

ProviNET consulted with Presby’s staff to develop a managed private cloud environment for the organization that would deliver the best possible support to a varied group of end-users. This involved a number of steps:

  • Engaging in a technical discovery process through which ProviNET inventoried, documented, and evaluated all of the technical components that made up Presby’s technology infrastructure.

  • Developing a managed private cloud environment that would meet the current needs of the organization; leverage existing hardware, software, or licensing; and continue to be scalable into the future. This solution was embraced by Presby’s IT department and leadership team.

  • Building out the new environment using the latest proven technologies. The migration affected every user across many separate physical locations. Presby’s users continue to have access to the around-the-clock ProviNET helpdesk service.

Outcomes

Presby’s and ProviNET completed the transition away from the organization’s previous hosting provider in December 2014. Since that time, there have been no service-impacting outages or downtime.

Business Model

Having a trusted business partner who can advise, consult, and deliver services around technology can be invaluable for providers. This type of partnership helps to free up time, effort, and energy that organizations can use to focus on providing quality hand-on care for the residents/clients they serve.
