CAST members offer free services in response to COVID-19 and share partnership announcements and thought leadership.

PointClickCare and Somatix Announce Integration

PointClickCare, a LeadingAge Gold Partner with CAST Focus and leading cloud-based software vendor for the senior care market, has partnered with Somatix® Inc., an artificial intelligence software company which provides a wearable remote patient monitoring solution to healthcare providers. 

Through this partnership, Somatix’ SafeBeing™ is now fully integrated with PointClickCare’s core electronic health record platform and listed on the PointClickCare Marketplace, an online platform that enables customers to more easily evaluate authorized third-party technology partners. Yahoo! Finance carried the news.

As a result of this integration, users can now expect to benefit from the passive activities of daily living (ADL) data collection via Somatix’ SafeBeing™, which enables caregivers to continuously monitor and analyze seniors' daily routines in real-time using an enterprise dashboard, smartband, user mobile app, and a caretaker/family app. 

iN2L Presents Webinar on Tech Connection During Social Isolation

McKnight's Senior Living reported on a free April 9 webinar by LeadingAge CAST Supporter iN2L, "How Tech Can Foster Person-Centered Connection During Social Isolation."
In this session, Jack York and Kristi Stoglin from iN2L provided insights into the importance of person-centered engagement and connection and shared the benefits it creates for multiple stakeholders surrounding the elder in a senior living model. They discussed how you can maintain this connection for your residents and experience the benefits throughout your community, even when social distancing is required.

Ray Elliott of Yardi Shares Tech Lessons for Senior Living

Ray Elliott, vice president of senior living at LeadingAge CAST Supporter Yardi, held a Voices interview with Senior Housing News.
In the interview, Elliott discussed what technology lessons senior living operators can learn from the other housing sectors, how a property management platform such as Yardi can move the needle for senior living providers, and current senior living challenges such as COVID-19 as well as staffing and retention. He also discussed a new business intelligence solution called Senior IQ, which holds together data from different areas of operations within a provider.

CAST Business Associate CareWorx FullyManaged has published "Cyber Criminals Out in Full Force During Covid19," which explains how to protect your organization from phishing attacks and shares a helpful phishing info sheet. CareWorx predicts that cyberattacks will rise as the COVID-19 situation continues.

Cubigo Offers Free Access to Assist during COVID-19

CAST Business Associate Cubigo is offering free access to their communication suite for three months to alleviate stress on communities as they battle the coronavirus crisis, Senior Living News reported.

Cubigo keeps residents and families up to date on the most recent community news and information, prevents loneliness, and retains social connections while in quarantine, and keeps team members efficient by reducing administrative minutia.

CAST Business Associate Pathway Health, a professional management and consulting organization serving clients in the long-term care and post-acute care industry, has updated its free COVID-19 Resources. It has also developed a full set of targeted consulting solutions to provide you with needed support as you reallocate your staff to the front lines in response to COVID-19.

These resources help you respond to the QSO memo (QSO-20-25-NH) issued by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on April 13. The memo provides supplemental information for long-term care facilities related to transferring or discharging residents between facilities to cohort residents based on COVID-19 status (i.e., positive, negative, unknown/under observation).

Status Solutions Gives Free Access to CAITIE Web

In response to COVID-19, CAST Business Associate Status Solutions, a senior living technology company, is offering a web-based version of its CATIE technology free of charge for any senior living facility who needs assistance with communication during the coronavirus pandemic, Senior Living News and Argentum reported. 

Status Solutions Vice President Amy Jeffs wrote an article published in McKnight's Long-Term Care News, "Amid COVID-19, digital tools can harness the power of community and prevent senior isolation." Jeffs shared news of the CATIE Web free offering as well as other creative ideas for free and low-cost connection during this time.
