K4Connect Announces Partnerships for AI and Community Hotline

K4Connect, a LeadingAge Silver Partner with CAST Focus, was featured in a WRAL TechWire article about K4Connect's partnership with Pryon, another term firm in Raleigh, NC, to bring staff assistants powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to its clients. The article noted that K4Connect believes AI can help to improve the lives of seniors living in assisted living communities, especially during the pandemic.
“For caregivers, AI can deliver more efficient support systems and tools (saving them time), data-driven practices that enable better decision-making, and increased awareness of resident behavior/interest that ultimately fuel better care,” K4Connect CEO Scott Moody told WRAL TechWire. A PR Newswire release provided additional details about the partnership.
Another recent WRAL TechWire article, "K4Connect seniors ‘hotline’ receives boost from Bandwidth to assist with pandemic needs," discussed K4Connect's partnership with software communications firm Bandwidth, leveraging the Bandwidth API and telecom platform, to deliver a newly enhanced “hotline” for its staff and residents.
The recorded phone message keeps residents, their families, and community staff constantly updated with the latest, including safety protocols, visitation policies, and other information like dining menus and virtual or socially distanced activities.

New Innovations From American HealthTech Enhance Decision Making Within Clinical Workflow and Speed Communication

CAST Business Associate American HealthTech (AHT), a wholly owned subsidiary of CPSI and a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) solutions and related services for the post-acute care market, has announced the launch of its newest offering, Clinical Decision Support (CDS). This application integrates directly into the workflow of the AHT EHR and provides guidance to clinicians in real time. CDS is designed to reduce errors and improve efficiency by providing intelligently filtered patient information in order to improve patient care and outcomes.

AHT also recently released a new broadcast communication feature. This innovative communication feature allows facilities to share secure text messages, emails and phone calls en masse to facility residents and their representatives and family members.

As post-acute care facilities face increasing regulations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AHT’s broadcast communication feature has played a crucial role in quickly alerting family members regarding COVID-19 testing updates, changes in visitation rules, and other important communications.
