Celebrating Love in Aging Services: #CareIsLove
This Valentine’s Day, LeadingAge is celebrating the bonds of love that grow throughout aging services. From Thursday, February 11 to Sunday, February 14, LeadingAge will transform our social accounts into a #CareIsLove celebration, including a targeted paid social effort to ensure maximum engagement among our social network and to expand our reach and visibility. To make it easy to participate, LeadingAge is providing customizable social graphics and templates, sample social posts, and op-ed, press advisory and pitch call templates for members. Use the materials on this page to join us.
Leadership Lessons From the Pandemic
COVID-19 has brought new challenges to leaders in the aging services field, but also imparted valuable lessons that can be shared and applied to future work. In this recorded session, hear from eight LeadingAge members who share their own personal challenges and growth during the pandemic. Speakers include Melissa Andrews (LeadingAge Virginia), Todd Andrews (Asbury Communities), Diana Delgado (Eaton Senior Communities), Lynne Giacobbe (Kendal at Home), Michelle Just (Beatitudes), Bob Mayer (The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Campus), Jeremy Neely (Acts Retirement-Life Community), and Kelly Smith Papa (Duncaster). Discover how leaders cultivated trust with key stakeholders, managed day-to-day challenges, and found ways to move their organizations forward. Now available on-demand!
The Pandemic Playbook
Looking for more lessons from COVID? The LeadingAge Pandemic Playbook is an interactive online collection of insight, wisdom, and best practices for serving older adults during a catastrophic health crisis like the one we’re facing now. We recently added new resources in the Clinical chapter on how to encourage residents and staff to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The Management chapter includes new advice (under “Looking Ahead”) on thinking about adapting to the new normal to come, and the Financial chapter includes new resources on financial and strategic planning.
