Save The Date: Lobby Day on April 21

It’s never been more important for the needs of aging services to be heard on Capitol Hill. We’re inviting all members to be part of LeadingAge’s 2021 Lobby Day, happening virtually on Wednesday, April 21. Registration opens next week, so save the date to have your voice heard.

This Week’s Online Coronavirus Policy Updates

Join us tomorrow and Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET for our online policy update. Tomorrow, Dr. George Mensah from the National Institutes of Health will talk about some of the root causes of vaccine hesitancy and how we can get to the “moveable middle” with residents and staff. On Thursday, Dr. David Wong will discuss a new coalition looking to expand the staff and use of monoclonal antibody treatments for providers. Register now to join us.

The Global Ageing Network and the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) are hosting a webinar on the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of professional care workers and strategies to address these needs on Thursday, March 11 at 8:00 a.m. ET. Add Your Voice to HUD Physical Inspection Reform

HUD is overhauling physical inspections and you have the chance to weigh in. LeadingAge is urging HUD to maintain a robust yet feasible approach to portfolio oversight. Using an easy online form, you can help us urge HUD to streamline the process while incentivizing well-performing properties. Add your voice in support of LeadingAge comments to HUD and customize your comments with a brief description of your community by March 15.
