Following are the latest coronavirus news and resources.

This weekend, LeadingAge released a statement underscoring our recommendation that members maintain transparent communication about positive COVID-19 cases with staff, residents, and families, and that nursing home members report positive cases to their local health departments. We are committed to continued collaboration with all of our partners in public health and expect that consistent reporting of cases will lead to adequate and timely access to PPE and testing.

Our president and CEO Katie Smith Sloan spoke with The Wall Street Journal this weekend, saying “Some places can’t get testing at all, some places it’s spotty.” Government authorities and our industry need “the ability to prioritize and understand where it’s happening, so we can prevent the spread and aggressively intervene.” WSJ subscribers can read the article full here.

We’ve provided templates to help you communicate with staff, residents, and families.
