In addition to preparing for our successful 2019 Annual Meeting & EXPO, which brought more than 7,000 providers and other attendees to San Diego, LeadingAge made waves on several fronts in October. Here’s an overview of our work for you in the last month.
The students will be participating in specific programming, in addition to the general Annual Meeting sessions. The student program includes a welcome reception, lunch with LeadingAge mentors, a Leaders in Residence lunch, and Office Hours in a Student Union – complete with University banners. Over 30 students received scholarships to attend the Annual Meeting from the LeadingAge Student Scholarship fund.
A ransomware attack has disrupted services at 1,500 computers at a Wyoming health system, including those at a long-term care facility. Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY, is using paper charts instead of health records, says a recent article in McKnight’s Senior Living.
