LeadingAge Provider Relief Explainer Document Updated
Regulation | July 13, 2020 | by Nicole Fallon
LeadingAge has updated and reorganized its Provider Relief Fund Explainer document (formerly known as the Provider Relief Fund Background, Considerations and Frequently Asked Questions document) that summarizes and organizes much of the information coming out of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services(HHS) on the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund as it relates to our aging services provider members.
The Explainer breaks down the information by type of distribution (e.g., General Distribution, SNF Targeted Distribution or Medicaid/CHIP Distribution), lists available resources both internal and external, identifies and defines the steps providers must undertake upon receipt of funds, defines key terms, highlights hot topics and discusses additional frequently asked questions. The HHS FAQs, application instructions, and other resources should still be consulted for details about what information to place in which box of the online form or when a provider is looking to see if their particular ownership scenario has been addressed.
The LeadingAge Provider Relief Fund Explainer has been updated to reflect HHS information on the Provider Relief Fund through July 13. Members who have questions that are not answered in the Explainer can direct further questions to Nicole Fallon.
