Following is the text of the message HUD sent out on February 15:

HUD is working to expedite availability of at least some funding to Service Coordinator grantees who have not been paid since December (and some much longer).  And LeadingAge is continuing to advocate for prioritized attention to the program in post-shutdown weeks, and its inclusion as an excepted activity in revisions to any future HUD shutdown contingency plan.

“Let’s talk about it” has been LeadingAge’s primary message to consumers, policy makers, and members during June 2018. We’ve asked millennials to “Carry the Conversation” by becoming the voice of long-term services and supports (LTSS). And we’ve provided resources that member organizations can use to frame their internal conversations about important decisions.

The 97 page booklet, available on HUD Exchange here, is the culmination of many years of work by industry professionals who came together with HUD to write this practical "how-to" manual focused on the preservation of HUD 202, 236 and Section 8 properties. It also captures much of the material used for the HUD Preservation Clinics held throughout the country in 2015 and 2016.
