LeadingAge’s commitment to developing the workforce pipeline and mitigating the workforce shortage took a step forward with the launch of the LeadingAge University Advisory Council. The purpose of the advisory council is to provide practical input, advice, and resources to LeadingAge on its ongoing student initiatives, and to identify opportunities for LeadingAge and its members to partner with universities.

The University Advisory Council is comprised of invited representatives from colleges that conduct higher education in the field of aging. Universities represented on the advisory council include Bellarmine University, Cornell University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, University of California Davis, University of Massachusetts Boston, and University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. The council meets quarterly and will be meeting at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting in San Diego.
