Several LeadingAge CAST members received prestigious 2023 McKnight’s Tech Awards on Sept. 20, 2023, for their innovative and effective work. These partners were honored on the awards’ Skilled Nursing and Senior Living tracks.
RiverSpring Living and Ingleside Receive Multiple Awards
LeadingAge CAST Patron RiverSpring Living from the Bronx, NY, received three awards in the Skilled Nursing track:
- The Gold Award in the Building Bridges category for its “Digital Photo Frame for End-of-Life Care,” which can offer the sound of a loved one’s voice or a song when family cannot be there.
- The Gold Award in the Keep It Super Simple (KISS) category for the RiverSpring Hebrew Home at Riverdale and its use of NexStride’s gait assistance device to lower residents’ fall risk and improve their balance and function and gait speed.
- The Silver Award in the Quality category for “AccuVein Technology Results in Better Phlebotomy Results” from RiverSpring Living from the Bronx.
LeadingAge CAST Patron Ingleside, with multiple communities in the Washington, DC, metro area, also took three awards:
- The Bronze Award in the Skilled Nursing track in the Keep It Super Simple (KISS) category Ingleside at King Farm from Rockville, MD, for “Cool at Rock Creek.”
- On the Senior Living track, Ingleside received two Bronze awards. Ingleside was honored in the Building Bridges category for “Streamlining Communication and Resources” with the digital platform Cubigo. Ingleside at King Farm received a Bronze in the Keep It Super Simple category for “The Resident Tech Help Team” of community volunteers.
Additional Skilled Nursing Track Awards
The Skilled Nursing track’s Tech Partner of the Year category awarded two CAST partners as winners.
- ShiftKey + OnShift, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus in Cleveland, OH, took the Silver Award for “SAMI Provides Organizations Total Workforce Visibility & Optimization.”
- MatrixCare, a LeadingAge Silver Partner with CAST Focus in Bloomington, MN, received the Bronze Award for “MatrixCare’s Clinical Advanced Insights: Partnering Data and Efficiency.”
In the track’s Building Bridges category, Cypress Cove, Cypress Living, Cypress at Home from Fort Myers, FL, received the Bronze Award for “Successful Employee Disaster Fund Campaign Aided by Technology.” Cypress Living is a LeadingAge CAST Patron.
Senior Living Track Awards
CAST partners swept the Tech Partner of the Year category awards in the Senior Living track.
- Accushield, a LeadingAge Associate Business Partner based in Atlanta, won the Gold Award for “Gig-Based Flexible Scheduling Software,” which described how Bickford Senior Living used the Flex workforce platform in 52 communities and saved millions in overtime and staffing agency costs.
- Nobi, a LeadingAge Associate Business Partner based in Antwerp, Belgium, won the Silver Award for “AI-Powered Nobi Smart Lamp Detects and Prevents Falls.”
- In the Senior Living Track, SafelyYou, a LeadingAge Associate Business Partner in San Francisco, CA, received a Bronze Award. The award for “AI Reduces Falls, Risks and Costs” honored SafelyYou Respond and SafelyYou Aware. SafelyYou tied for the Bronze with Intrex.
In the track’s Building Bridges category, Cypress Cove, Cypress Living, Cypress at Home from Fort Myers, FL, received the Bronze Award for “Successful Employee Disaster Fund Campaign Aided by Technology.” Cypress Living is a LeadingAge CAST Patron.
In the Innovator of the Year category, LeadingAge Member The Admiral at the Lake, a Kendal affiliate in Chicago, took the Silver Award. Its winning entry “Real-Time Responsive Communication Gives Teams Better Tools” tells how the organization uses the HUCU.ai communication platform by MPAC Healthcare.
