In an April 24 letter to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), LeadingAge urged the agency to maintain its commitment to robust portfolio oversight while also identifying streamlining opportunities for HUD’s Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC). Above all, the letter requests that HUD commit to meeting its inspection targets for the year and improve inspector capacity after major upheaval at the agency so far during the Trump Administration, while also identifying areas for efficiency.
