LeadingAge to DOL: Raising Wage Floors Presents Real Risk of Unintended Consequences
In comments submitted May 26, 2026, to the Department of Labor (DOL) on its proposed rule, Improving Wage Protections for the Temporary and Permanent Employment of Certain Foreign Nationals in the United States, LeadingAge urges the agency to consider the interaction between wage policy and public reimbursement systems when making changes to prevailing wage standards in the EB-3 program. We explain that the proposed rule’s raising wage floors presents a real risk of unintended consequences, such as limiting access to international recruitment for some aging services providers.
