Learning Objectives:

1. To understand the rationale for targeted depression screening in older adults and learning about evidence based screening tools

2. To understand the prevalence of suicide risk in older adults and increasing provider comfort with suicide risk assessment

3. To understand rationale for engaging in safety planning and lethal means counseling with patients who have been identified as being at risk for suicide

4. To increase provider comfort with the intervention of safety planning as a standard of care for patients who have been identified as being at risk for suicide.
