Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published an updated list of federally mandated income exclusions on January 31. The notice replaces the previously published version (published in 2014), adds new exclusions, and removes exclusions that are now codified in HUD regulations. 

This LeadingAge resource identifies new and corrected income exclusions, including the addition of assistance received by a household from payments made under the Emergency Rental Assistance Program established in 2021. Additional HOTMA-related income exclusions have been incorporated through regulation in 2024.
