CAST in the News
LeadingAge CAST and Ziegler’s recent survey of electronic health record (EHR) use among senior living providers made the news, appearing in a recent issue of McKnight’s. “Large nonprofits outperforming smaller organizations on EHR adoption” reported that more nonprofit senior living and care providers with multiple properties are adopting electronic health records than are smaller nonprofits. It also noted that larger providers are using EHRs with more sophistication, functionalities, and information exchange capabilities than are smaller providers. The survey was a follow-up to the LZ 150, LeadingAge’s annual survey with investment firm Ziegler.
New CAST Members
This month, CAST welcomes two new organizations. Lyft Mobility Solutions is a new LeadingAge CAST Supporter, and Cantata Health is a new CAST Business Associate.

Aging Technology News
Finally, a major national retail chain is hoping to bring home monitoring into the big leagues. Best Buy is expanding its pilot of Assured Living, which enables adult children to check in on their aging parents from afar, in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. If the pilot is successful, Best Buy may set its sights on additional cities nationwide.
