The Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC) to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) will meet on November 14-15.
While the agenda for this meeting has not yet been released, it is anticipated that issues such as respiratory virus infection prevention and control and management of healthcare personnel during respiratory virus outbreaks will be discussed.
Meetings typically occur up to eight times per year and are open to the public via livestream webcasts. Members of the public have the opportunity to provide oral comment on issues during these meetings.
LeadingAge encourages members to take this opportunity to share with HICPAC the ways in which CDC recommendations impact their communities, residents, and staff. Requests to make oral comment may be submitted October 15 – October 25.
More information is available here.
For those who prefer not to provide oral comment, other opportunities exist for submitting written comment. Go here to learn more about how and why LeadingAge members should advocate to HICPAC.
