CAST also brings value to LeadingAge and its members with a variety of case studies, which give you practical information on how you can use technology to improve operations in, and strategic positioning of, your organization. Below are the latest case studies from LeadingAge Silver Partners with CAST Focus.
Nearly a decade ago, the life plan community John Knox Village, a LeadingAge Provider Member, sought the tools to make sense of what was coming out of the minimum data set (MDS). The recent LeadingAge/CAST case study shows how a SaaS-based data analytics system from ABILITY | CAREWATCH®, a LeadingAge Silver Partner with CAST Focus, helped raise John Knox Village’s caregiving, compliance, and quality measures to laudable new levels.
A second new LeadingAge/CAST case study shows how Great Plains Health partnered with LeadingAge Silver Partner and CAST Supporter Philips to implement a tailored ambulatory care platform and remote patient monitoring technology for its Transitional Care Nursing Program. The resulting telehealth solution significantly improved Great Plains Health’s ability to educate patients to better take care of themselves.
Technology News
CAST also keeps members informed of relevant technology developments. For example, technology provided by several LeadingAge members is being used in Centers for Healthy Living (CHLs), a new movement that bridges the gap between senior living and health care, supporting seniors’ mind, body, and spirit.
This month we also share how the Avamere Family of Companies, a group of independent health care providers dedicated to seniors, is piloting IBM’s Watson. This six-month project will use Watson’s data interpretation capabilities to decide how best to care for individual patients.
