CAST Welcomes New Supporter and Business Associates
This month, CAST announces that Caremerge has become a CAST Supporter. Caremerge provides EHR and Engagement solutions to senior living providers that promote wellness and inspire collaboration between residents, staff and families. Its simple and user-friendly solutions improve quality of care while improving quality of time spent with residents and families. Caremerge believes in a friction-less client care model that creates long-lasting partnerships with successful outcomes. Caremerge has solutions applicable to all service levels and currently supports over 430 senior living communities nationwide.
Josh Studzinski, VP of marketing at Caremerge, is a new CAST Commissioner. Studzinski has spent the last 10 years in B2B technology organizations driving growth through marketing, demand generation, and digital transformation. He currently leads the go-to-market strategy, branding, and event strategy at Caremerge.

Ziegler Appoints New Members to Healthcare Advisory Committee
National specialty investment bank Ziegler, a LeadingAge Gold Partner with CAST Focus, has added Hugh Greene and Robert Kramer to the Ziegler Healthcare Advisory Committee (ZHAC). The ZHAC is an independent group of industry experts who play a key role in advancing the firm’s growth strategies and diverse practice areas within the broad healthcare services and IT sectors, according to Yahoo! Finance.
The new ZHAC members join an elite group of healthcare experts, who are tasked with offering ideas challenging assumptions to advance Ziegler’s growth initiatives and prioritization of capital allocation.
Greene is the retired president and CEO of Baptist Health, a comprehensive community-based health system that is comprised of five hospitals with net revenue of nearly $2 billion and is the largest private employer in Northeast Florida.
Kramer is the founder and strategic advisor for the National Investment Center for Senior Housing and Care, a national not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support access and choice for America’s seniors by providing data, analytics, and connections that bring together investors and providers.
CareWorx Fully Managed to Partner with Cliniconex
CAST Business Associate CareWorx Fully Managed has announced a partnership with Cliniconex, which offers a family engagement solution designed to return time to care through workflow automation. The goal is to make the Ottawa-based Cliniconex product more available in skilled nursing across North America. McKnight’s Long-Term Care News carried the announcement in its “September Company Briefs.”
Mather LifeWays Brings First Life Plan Community to Tysons
The Mather, the first life plan community in Tysons, VA, is expected to open in 2023. LeadingAge Member Mather LifeWays is currently accepting deposits for apartment homes that will be equipped with SMART home technology.
Technology being considered includes temperature control, lights, appliances, window treatments, and more, according to “Mather LifeWays brings new senior living option to Tysons,” which recently appeared in the Fairfax County Times. Mather LifeWays has already taken more than 200 priority reservations.
