On January 1, 2025 home health agencies will see three new changes to the current OASIS-E instrument. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Serivces (CMS) will be removing two items which are no longer used for the calculation of payment or of quality measures (Episode Timing M0110 and Therapy Need M2200). CMS will also be removing the requirement to complete GG0130 and GG0170 at discharge. Finally, CMS will add a new item (yet to be numbered) which reflects a new Home Health Quality Reporting Program measure which was finalized in the CY2024 Home Health Rule, “Patient’s COVID-19 Vaccination Is Up to Date”.
