CMS Issues Non-Compliance Notices Related to SNF and Hospice Quality Reporting Programs
The non-compliance notices were distributed by the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and placed into SNF and Hospice providers CASPER folders in QIES on July 14, 2021. Providers that receive a letter of non-compliance may submit a request for reconsideration to CMS via email no later than 11:59 pm, August 13, 2021.
SNFs may file for reconsideration if they believe the finding of non-compliance is in error, or they have evidence of the impact of extraordinary circumstances which prevented timely submission of data. Hospices that believe the finding of non-compliance is in error or who want to have their circumstances reviewed by CMS must file for a reconsideration request. Details about filing for reconsideration should be included in the non-compliance letter but can also be found here for SNFs and here for Hospice providers.
