The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) on May 13 issued a request for information (RFI) regarding how to deploy “technologies to empower seniors to manage their health journey.”
The RFI wants input from patients, caregivers, providers, payers, technology developers and other stakeholders on how to drive development and adoption of digital health management and care navigation applications; to identify barriers to the seamless exchange of health information across systems; to strengthen interoperability and secure access to health data; and reduce administrative burden while accelerating progress toward value-based, patient centered care.
Comments are due by June 16, 2025.
For individuals who have questions and would like to learn more about the RFI, CMS will be hosting a webinar on May 20 at 1 p.m. ET to answer questions about the RFI and how to submit a response to the RFI. Several key CMS staff will be on hand to hear input from the participants. Individuals can register for the webinar here.
