The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the indefinite suspension of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Off-Cycle Revalidation that had a previous compliance date of January 1, 2026.
As noted in the December 11 MLN Connects Newsletter, the January 1, 2026 (“off-cycle”) compliance date has been suspended, but the initiative to collect ownership, managerial, and related party data continues.
This means that providers may be required to submit information on additional disclosable parties during upcoming routine revalidations.
CMS updated its guidance to reflect the January 1 off-cycle revalidations indefinite suspension, but did not provide clear information on what future revalidations will look like.
LeadingAge is seeking additional clarification from CMS.
In the meantime, providers can check out our webinars on the LeadingAge Learning Hub and join the Nursing Home Network for a special peer-to-peer support opportunity on December 18.
