The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released mid-year updates to 2024 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Spousal Impoverishment Standards (SIS) to reflect the updates to the federal poverty level effective July. These changes will affect only the limits for the community spouse’s minimum monthly maintenance needs allowance (MMMNA), which is the amount is used to calculate the community spouse’s housing and shelter allowance.
