For several weeks, we have provided updates and reminders about the upcoming transition of the MDS to iQIES with the accompanying submission blackout from April 13–17. We apologize that on April 3, we erroneously reported that this blackout would begin April 14. Timely MDS submission is still required during this time. The important dates and information are as follows:

• April 13 at 8 p.m. ET: MDS submission through QIES is no longer available. PBJ and ePOC continue in QIES.

• April 14 at 8 p.m. ET: iQIES goes offline.

• April 17 at 8 a.m. ET: MDS submission through iQIES begins. Each individual nursing home must have a designated Provider Security Official in order to submit through iQIES.
