With funding from the Older Americans Act (OAA) via the Administration for Community Living (ACL), the National Council on Aging (NCOA) is offering five awards of up to $717,000 each over 30 months to community care hubs working to expand evidence-based falls prevention. Organizations interested in applying are asked to submit an intent to apply by November 20 with applications due December 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Selected organizations will strengthen partnerships between healthcare and community organizations, expand falls risk screening using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths, and Injuries (STEADI) program, and connect more people with Stepping On, an evidence-based program designed to reduce falls.
The funded project period is expected to run from February 1, 2027, through July 31, 2029.
