On May 21, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the third round of cohort awards under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program, or GRRP.

The grants and loans support energy efficiency and climate resilience renovations at HUD-assisted properties, including properties serving older adults.

According to HUD, the $67 million in the current funding awards brings the total of GRRP funds awarded to $610 million, benefiting more than 14,000 homes.

The funding round was announced at an Ohio property owned by Preservation of Affordable Housing, Inc. (POAH), a LeadingAge member.
