Senators Rosen (D-NV), Barrasso (R-WY), and Baldwin (D-WI) reintroduced the Improving Access to Transfusion Care for Hospice Patients Act on June 22. The bill would mandate a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) demonstration on payment for blood transfusions outside of the Medicare hospice per diem payment.
