Key PRF/ARP Rural Deadlines Approaching
[UPDATE, July 5, 2023. The Provider Relief Fund reporting portal reopened Saturday, July 1.]
We are about a week and a half away from some key Provider Relief Fund (PRF) and American Rescue Plan (ARP) Rural deadlines.
First, providers can continue to use these funds for lost revenues incurred through 6/30/2023. After that date, PRF and ARP Rural funds will only be able to be applied to COVID-related expenses incurred on or after 7/1/2023 through the end of the period of availability.
Second, PRF/ARP Rural Reporting Period 5 begins July 1, 2023, for those providers who received PRF and/or ARP Rural payments between January 1 and June 30, 2022. Providers must report or they will be deemed out of compliance and required to return all the funds received for that period. LeadingAge has updated the table outlining reporting timeframes and when PRF/ARP Rural funds can be used for lost revenues and expenses. This LeadingAge article also explains the reporting changes related to lost revenues.
