Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) providers must submit staff flu vaccination data today, May 15, for SNF QRP requirements. Remember, the Influenza Vaccination Coverage among Healthcare Personnel measure, newly added to SNF QRP this year, requires that SNFs submit one report by May 15 detailing the flu vaccination status of any healthcare personnel working at least one day in the SNF between October 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.

The data must be submitted through the NHSN Healthcare Personnel Safety component. Data submitted through the Long-Term Care Facility component, where SNFs submit COVID data on a weekly basis, will not meet requirements for this measure. The person designated in NHSN as the Facility Administrator must activate the Healthcare Personnel Safety component in the facility profile in order to submit data for this measure.
