The LeadingAge Heritage Art Collection

“Art is the most beautiful when shared” -Anonymous

In 2001, LeadingAge conducted a national search for resident artwork for the walls of our new Headquarters building in Washington, DC. With the support of a LeadingAge member, the Hebrew Home of Riverdale, our art committee selected 230 pieces of resident art for our initial exhibit. The original gifted collection was featured for 17 years and inspired hundreds of visitors every year. In 2018, LeadingAge donated the Heritage collection to nonprofit affordable senior housing residents in the Bay Area. These donated pieces are now bringing joy to a new generation of older adults every day in their homes and in the hallways of their community. Our first collection will always hold a special place of honor as part of LeadingAge history. We invite you to enjoy the collection here on our website.
