A 14-bill anti-fraud package introduced by House Energy and Commerce Committee (E&C) Republicans September 29, 2026,  targets Medicaid.

Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), chairman of the E&C, which has jurisdiction over the Medicaid program in the House, and other bill supporters in a press release shared thoughts on each of their introduced bills.

Though links to the bills are not yet available, the release indicates the package targets data availability and transparency, enhanced enforcement tools, and improved accountability of state program administration to combat waste, fraud, and abuse in the Medicaid program.

We will review the text of the bills, as they become available, and work with the Committee on their intentions for the package.
