LeadingAge spoke up for nursing homes on several fronts during September 2018. We also supported members in the path of Hurricane Florence; continued our advocacy around workforce, home health, housing, and Medicare payments; and released a variety of resources to help members do their work.

It’s been hot and steamy in the nation’s capital this July. But our 90-degree temperatures and near-100% humidity haven’t put a damper on the energy and enthusiasm of LeadingAge team members. We’ve been busy launching new initiatives, disseminating exciting new research, speaking out on important issues, and preparing useful resources for LeadingAge members. Here’s a guided tour of our work for you in July 2018.

“Let’s talk about it” has been LeadingAge’s primary message to consumers, policy makers, and members during June 2018. We’ve asked millennials to “Carry the Conversation” by becoming the voice of long-term services and supports (LTSS). We’ve been talking with policy makers about a variety of issues that matter to older Americans. And we’ve provided resources that member organizations can use to frame their internal conversations about important decisions.

If we had to choose one word to describe our March 2018 activities at LeadingAge, it would be “clamorous.” As winter turned to spring, we raised our voice about a variety of issues that members care about. We’re happy to report that, in several important instances, our voice was heard loud and clear. Click the links to learn more about our work for you in March.
