The Administration on Community Living (ACL) funds the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC), which will provide a webinar for adult day services providers on serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and dementia. The webinar will feature Abbey Such and Eunice Howard of The Arc Jacksonville, who will discuss the increased prevalence of dementia among the I/DD population and how to prepare providers and caregivers for future care and services needs. The Arc Jacksonville operates a comprehensive adult day program with education and caregiver supports focused on the I/DD population and their caregivers. Adult day members have indicated an interest in increasing awareness of needs and optimizing services for the I/DD population, and this webinar offers adult day providers an opportunity to assess existing opportunities for service improvements or expansions.
