CMS and Continued Telehealth Flexibilities
McKnight’s Long-Term Care News reported that telehealth flexibilities are likely to extend beyond the COVID-19 pandemic if Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, President Joe Biden’s nomination to lead the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, is confirmed. These flexibilities have helped older adults get the medical care they need more easily and safely during the pandemic.
Shared Care Plans and EHR Interoperability Are Key
A recent blog on electronic health records by Yardi, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus, notes that the need for interoperability among acute care, private practice, skilled nursing, and other healthcare partners will spur additional development for care transition and coordination.
