Speaking to members of congress over two days in September 2026, more than 20 provider members and state partners joined LeadingAge national in Washington, DC, at our Immigration Advancement Project (IAP) fly-in. Our message to policymakers is simple: immigration policy is workforce policy; without reforms, access to care for older Americans is at stake.

We urged members of congress to protect the caregivers working legally today; unblock the caregivers who are already in line and expand legal pathways for the workers we need.
