In a press statement from president and CEO Katie Smith Sloan, LeadingAge reacts to President Biden’s 2023 State of the Union Address.
“Tonight, President Biden spoke about a country that is at an inflection point where, if we make the right choices, a better future lies ahead. In many ways, aging services are at a similar crossroads, where the critical policy decisions we make today will decide if we’re moving toward a more equitable future for all as we grow older,” said Sloan.
The statement went on to list three key issues for aging services: Workforce, White House Office on Aging, and Nursing Home Reform. Read the entire statement.
