The FY2027 Hospice Wage Index Proposed Rule, submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review on March 2, 2026, contains the agency’s updates to Medicare payment policy and other aspects of hospice regulation and oversight, consistent with the legally required annual updates.  Review by the OMB is the final step before the proposed rule is published to the Federal Register; a comment period follows publication prior to changes being finalized for the coming year. Here, we follow developments related to this regulation from initial proposal to final rule.
