LeadingAge is working with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to continue providing free COVID test kits to all HUD multifamily properties, as well as nursing home and assisted living providers.

 COVID Test Kits for Nursing Homes & Assisted Living: The Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) will provide weekly COVID test distributions for nursing home and assisted living providers through 2025. Email TDX@hhs.gov with your shipping information and any requests to increase, decrease, pause, or re-initiate shipping. Requests are usually processed within a couple of weeks of being received.

COVID Test Kits for HUD Multifamily Properties: Owners and property-based staff of multifamily housing can register to order test kits to be delivered directly to their properties on a weekly basis using the Health Partner Ordering Portal (HPOP). This HUD webpage provides detailed information and instructions, and HUD highly encourages property staff to review the instructional materials before beginning the registration process. Each property should order the amount of test kits residents will use on a weekly basis and should not stockpile or advance order test kits. Same-week processing for orders placed on Mondays before 11:59 p.m. ET, and orders will ship on Wednesdays and be delivered within 7-10 days.
