We often hear from LeadingAge members that there is little time for future planning due to navigating day-to-day operations, keeping up with change, and addressing ongoing challenges. That’s why a goal of the 2023 Leadership Summit is to give members the much-needed time to step back and come together to think big(ger) and creatively build a stronger, sustainable, and resilient future in aging services. 

This April 17-19, we are excited to welcome more than 75 diverse voices across 30+ sessions to inspire our work.

Joining us on the keynote stage are Michael C. Bush, CEO at Great Place To Work®, and Rev. Dr. Zina Jacque, Chair and President of the Board at National Senior Campuses (NSC). Michael will share how your organization can become and remain a great place to work, while Dr. Jacque will discuss how to stay true to your organization’s mission. 

We understand workforce is priority ONE for LeadingAge members. Our education program includes multiple sessions that explore other workforce-related issues, including how:

• Income disparities impact the health and well-being of direct care workers
• Methods can be implemented to expand workforce pipelines
• Search committees can expand the pool of potential candidates for CEO jobs
• LeadingAge initiatives support leadership diversity among mid-level and senior leaders in our field 

Plus, LeadingAge’s Jenna Kellerman, Workforce Strategy & Development Director, and Gwen Fitzgerald, Director, Public Messaging, will discuss findings from our Opening Doors to the Aging Services Workforce initiative. 

They’ll share research-backed strategies for: 

• Crafting compelling communications that send messages about working in the aging services field
• Framing those messages to appeal to prospective employees
• Developing recruitment materials that align with the research findings
