We must ensure that our key issues are on their policy agendas right away. And that’s why your voice and stories matter so much. Policymakers rely on your experience when making key decisions.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll continue to call on you to help us reach lawmakers on Capitol Hill. The issues facing aging services providers are wide-ranging and complex. COVID-19’s disproportionate toll on older adults and the people who care for them further reinforces the urgency of our advocacy activities. The pandemic has wreaked havoc in communities around the country and its impact will be felt for decades to come.

Every year, LeadingAge connects members with their lawmakers on Capitol Hill to advocate for policies that remove barriers to care, provide more affordable senior housing, develop new services, improve reimbursement, and make America a better place for older adults. This year, as aging services providers begin the process of rebuilding in a post-crisis world, it’s more critical than ever to make our voices heard.

Register by Wednesday, March 24 to guarantee scheduling with your lawmakers. Participation is free and entirely virtual, which means you can help advocate for your colleagues and community without even leaving your office.

Part of being good stewards for aging services means advocating for policies that remove barriers to care, develop new services, improve reimbursement, and make America a better place to grow old. LeadingAge’s advocacy team tracks legislation and regulatory updates to make sure that policymakers understand how changes will impact our members and the people they serve.
