Located in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco, our apartments are here to provide a home for very low-income seniors (62 and older) and residents with disabilities. Our ample, newly renovated spaces and coveted location provide convenient access to much of what San Francisco has to offer, as well as the comfort of home.

Presidio Gate Apartments is comprised of one-bedroom apartments and studios providing 24-hour security for the well being of residents. The ESC staff includes a resident manager, activities director and service coordinator who help residents connect to resources in the larger community. Other staff include maintenance and housekeeping. The property has a library, a lounge area on each floor, exercise facilities and a multipurpose (dining) room – all to make your life here exactly as you like it.

Life at Presidio Gate Apartments provides opportunities for:

• Lunch, served five days a week for a nominal fee
• Van transportation for weekly shopping trips, cultural events and other communal outings
• Arts, crafts and education activities
• Non-sectarian chapel services
• Service coordination

In keeping with the Presidio Gate Apartments’ mission to serve seniors with very low incomes or disabilities, we require candidates for residency to meet certain qualifications. To qualify for residency, an applicant’s yearly income must not exceed 50% of the local median income. Rent is 30% of resident’s adjusted gross income.
