On April 18 at 11 a.m. ET the Administration on Community Living (ACL) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Office of Disability Integration and Coordination are teaming up to provide a webinar focusing on keeping older adults and people with disabilities safe during disasters. The announcement recognizes that older adults represent the majority of fatalities during natural disasters. This educational opportunity is the first in a four-part series and will focus on natural disasters prevalent in the Midwest like heat waves, tornadoes, and flooding. Individuals interested in signing up for the session can do so here.
