- Digital Equity Funding: Timing and Next Steps – June 2024:
LeadingAge’s workgroup on internet access in affordable housing reviews the basics of the Digital Equity Act and what housing providers can do to prepare for the funding in this LeadingAge presentation. The Digital Equity Act is an internet funding opportunity enacted by Congress in 2021 that many states are in the midst of accessing to establish digital literacy skills programs, including services for older adults and low-income households. Climate Resilience and Energy Efficiency
- Free HUD Energy and Water Benchmarking Initiative: LeadingAge hosted a call in January 2024 with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to discuss the agency’s new energy benchmarking initiative for Multifamily Housing properties. ACCESS SLIDES and SUMMARY.
- HUD Disaster Response: LeadingAge featured guests from HUD who spearhead the agency’s disaster preparedness and response efforts on a December 2023 call for housing members. - Assessing Climate Resilience through the Lens of Aging: Our planet’s changing climate is impacting older adults in specific ways you may not realize.
