CAST Members Win 2025 Best in KLAS Awards
Four LeadingAge CAST members have been honored with 2025 Best in KLAS Awards in Software and Services. The Best in KLAS report recognizes software and services companies that excel in helping health care professionals improve patient care, with feedback from thousands of providers over the previous year informing all rankings.
McKnight’s Senior Living notes that PointClickCare, a LeadingAge Gold Partner with CAST Focus, has won the long-term care category, for the sixth year in a row. MatrixCare, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus, won in the Home Health (Large – Over 200 Average Daily Census) (Independent) and Hospice (Independent) categories. Securitas Healthcare, a LeadingAge Corporate Partner, won in Healthcare Operations: Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).
PointClickCare Launches Mealtime Solutions
McKnight’s Senior Living has reported that PointClickCare, a LeadingAge Gold Partner with CAST Focus, has launched Mealtime Solutions, “an all-in-one food service management technology designed to help senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities coordinate end-to-end food service operations.” PointClickCare is a leading cloud-based healthcare software for long-term and post-acute care markets.
Yardi Announces OneStep Partnership
In a new partnership, Yardi, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus, has named OneStep as a Yardi Senior Living Interface Vendor. OneStep’s advanced motion analysis and monitoring tools will connect with Yardi EHR, providing assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing facilities, and continuing care retirement communities with a data-driven, proactive way to enhance resident well-being, according to a news release on HIT Consultant. Yardi offers integrated senior living management software that unifies senior housing operations, grows occupancy, and delivers quality care, all from one platform.
Delovska-Trajkova Shares Ingleside’s Recent Technology Innovations
Dusanka Delovska-Trajkova, a LeadingAge CAST commissioner and chief information officer at LeadingAge CAST Patron Ingleside, was featured in two recent articles on technology in senior living.
In the i Advance Senior Care article “How Technology Can Improve Senior Care Staff Satisfaction,” Delovska-Trajkova shared Ingleside’s approach to asking for staff input to guide technology needs. She discussed a pilot to improve the community’s dining reservation system, plus a training to guide staff in working with dining robots. She also mentioned technology studies conducted by students from the Human Computer Interaction Department at the Indiana University School for Informatics.
In a Next Avenue piece entitled “Technology is Served: One Senior Community’s Use of Artificial Intelligence,” Delovska-Trajkova presents the ways Ingleside uses artificial intelligence for communications with staff and residents and for staff training. It also features Ingleside’s dining and cleaning robots.
Nobi and SafelyYou Raise Additional Funding
LeadingAge Corporate Partners Nobi and SafelyYou have announced new fundraising, Senior Housing News reported. Nobi, which produces smart lights that prevent and detect falls, has closed on $37 million in Series B funding. SafelyYou, which taps artificial intelligence to successfully detect and help prevent falls, accurately track care community-wide, and dramatically improve resident well-being, has closed on $43 million in Series C funding.
