Sunbound Becomes PointClickCare Marketplace Partner to Automate Billing
PointClickCare, a LeadingAge Gold Partner with CAST Focus, has added revenue cycle management and private payment automation solutions by LeadingAge Business Member Sunbound to the PointClickCare Marketplace. The integration lets operators who run on PointClickCare automate billing across Medicaid, Medicare, and resident private pay, starting from the census and resident data they already keep in their electronic health record (EHR)
Sunbound built its Revenue Operating System specifically for senior living. Operators using Sunbound see a 99% net collection rate on claims and a 95%+ on-time resident payment rate, according to a company news release. McKnight’s Senior Living also featured the partnership.
Ottimate Featured for its Scam Prevention Expertise
Ottimate, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus that offers accounts payable automation, was featured in “How to avoid scams, AI deepfakes in senior living and care financial transactions.” CEO Shawn Lane told McKnight’s Senior Living that AI tools have doubled the amount of fraudulent requests the company has caught in the last year and that health care is especially being targeted, even from state-sponsored attackers.
Lane recommended training employees not to click links, to centralize all invoices through accounting, to use employee software systems that include scam prevention features, and to scan regular invoices for any differences in appearance or cost.
Tenera Care and ALIS Advance Partnership with Phase II Integration
LeadingAge Business Members Tenera Care, the leading provider of high-precision real-time location systems (RTLS) for senior living, and ALIS, the leading all-in-one clinical and operations platform for assisted living, memory care, and independent living, have announced Phase II of their strategic integration.
Building on the initial integration, Phase II delivers a comprehensive bidirectional workflow that connects resident care plans with real-time care delivery. The enhanced integration enables communities to document both planned and unplanned care, giving operators a complete view of the services residents receive while reducing administrative burden for caregivers. PR Newswire shared the announcement in a Tenera Care media release.
Inspiren Introduces Live Two-Way Voice Emergency Calls; Founder and CEO Michael Wang Receives Memory Care Innovation Award
LeadingAge Business Member Inspiren, which provides a unified ecosystem for senior living, has expanded Inspiren eCall with Two-Way Voice, enabling care teams to speak directly with a resident the moment an emergency call is placed. The update also includes Alert Claiming, establishing staff ownership for every alert.
This update widens the gap between legacy eCall systems and Inspiren’s real-time care solution, says a company release on PR Newswire. By adding live voice communication to the privacy-protected visual context Inspiren already provides, caregivers can now connect with residents quickly, coordinate a response without duplicated effort, and arrive more informed.
In addition, Inspiren Founder & Chief Clinical Officer Michael Wang was named to the Memory Care Innovation Awards Class of 2026 by Senior Housing News. This peer-nominated award honors passionate and innovative industry members who are shaping the future of cognitive care across settings.
In a related Senior Housing News interview, Wang says that memory care is at an inflection point, with operators, care teams, and tech partners now looking at proactively personalizing care with data. He hopes to see memory care shift from incident response to early intervention and predicts future success for communities that pair rigorous data with human judgment and clinical expertise.
