Yardi Senior IQ Releases New Clinical Dashboards

Yardi® Senior IQ now offers clinical dashboards tailored to the unique needs of senior living providers, PR Newswire reported. The dashboards, made available in the 1.18 update, equip providers to track clinical trends, identify residents at risk, pinpoint problems and improve community protocols. Senior IQ draws clinical data directly from Yardi® EHR, a full-service electronic health record solution, and presents key information in user-friendly dashboards. The dashboards make clinical data easy to find and interpret, allowing providers to make fast, informed decisions for their business.

iN2L Report Finds Engagement Tech is Vital to Senior Living

iN2L, a LeadingAge Bronze Partner with CAST Focus and a leading provider of person-centered digital engagement to the senior living market, has shared its "Senior Living 2022: The State of Engagement and Technology” report. McKnight’s Senior Living and PR Newswire reported these and other findings:

  • 86% of leaders with engagement technology in place report that it is either "very" or "extremely important," which represents a 10% increase year over year. 65% of leaders report that engagement technology delivers a "clear ROI."  
  • 93% of communities that leverage engagement technology report a positive ability to engage residents, as compared to only 81% of organizations without specialized technology in place.
  • More than 80% of executives believe that senior engagement technology provides unique benefits and experiences that help set their community apart.

Asbury Communities Pilots Preventive Care Technologies

Asbury Communities, a LeadingAge CAST Patron, is implementing pilot programs to contribute to preventive care research.
 
REACT Neuro is testing virtual reality tech for cognitive assessments--ultimately to identify early markers of neurological disease and develop treatment plans to support people with potential cognitive decline, according to an article in McKnight's Senior Living.
 
In another pilot study in partnership with Harvard University Brigham & Women’s Hospital and ThriveWell Tech, Asbury is also helping determine whether streaming data can help predict COVID-19 infections in advance. The pilot involves using a biosensing watch to measure vitals combined with electronic medical records and medications, the article said.

Accushield Streamlines COVID-19 Vaccine Documentation for Watermark Retirement Communities

Eversound Launches Facilitated Telehealth Hearing Program

Eversound, a company providing hearing technology and interactive programs to senior living communities, announced the launch of the “first fully facilitated tele-audiology hearing health program in the United States,” The Hearing Review reported. Eversound, a LeadingAge Associate Business Partner with CAST Focus, plans to roll out the new telehealth service to their more than 1,200 US senior living community customers who serve approximately 130,000 residents.
 
Unlike any other hearing programs available to support the senior living population, Eversound’s program combines “a dedicated hearing care team, online telehealth capabilities, and on-site professionals to facilitate hearing care,” said the article.

Saxony Court Senior Living Deploys Vocera Solutions to Elevate Resident Experience

Vocera solutions are launching this month at Saxony Court Senior Living. The wearable, voice-controlled Vocera Badge and Smartbadge enables care team members to quickly communicate and collaborate using simple voice commands like, "call room 100" and "call the front desk." The independent and assisted living residents will be able to receive assistance at the touch of a button. Residents will wear the Badge, push the button, and immediately be connected to staff, who will be wearing the Smartbadge.
