LeadingAge staff attended the Elder Justice Coordinating Council meeting on June 8, which was co-hosted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The meeting highlighted the importance of including older adults in preparedness planning for disasters, emergencies, and pandemics. Panelists also discussed the future of the elder justice movement as we prepare to commemorate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15.
