The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced in an April 17 newsletter a new extension to the deadline for off-cycle revalidation for all Medicare-certified nursing homes from May 1 to August 1, 2025.

The extension is great news for providers working to comply with the deadline but faced with a complicated array of submission requirements.

Previously, LeadingAge worked to successfully secure a submission extension from October 1, 2024, to May 1, 2025.

The new deadline gives providers additional time to collect data on ownership, managerial, and related party information and submit their revalidation.
